The underside of the tabletop, which is usually not given much attention, has been carefully sanded, and you will be surprised at how soft it feels when you touch it. The fascia, traditionally used on the underside of the tabletop to prevent warping, is placed as far inward as possible to give the tabletop a light appearance.
